Living, breathing documentary filmmaking
Shotstopper Productions brings a wealth of industry experience to doocumentary filmmaking, from features to social media shorts and impact production. We are story-led. Our approach ventures beyond capturing pretty pictures, we source and research compelling narratives, shooting the best version of each story to create immersive visual experiences that engage our audience. With us, you don’t just watch our films—you live them.
Pre-Production
We believe in storytelling from the ground up, shaping compelling narratives, developing original scripts, and building strong visual worlds before the cameras roll. With a focus on stories often overlooked, we bring creative vision, strategic planning, and detailed development to every project. We collaborate closely across production skillsets to ensure every story begins with a solid, cinematic foundation.
What We Do
Production
We tell powerful, authentic stories that matter. We spotlight voices and issues often ignored, crafting films that provoke thought, spark dialogue, and drive change. From in-depth research and immersive shooting, to dynamic storytelling and cinematic visuals, we partner with communities and creators to inform, inspire, and give voice to the overlooked, creating films that resonate long after the credits roll.
Post-Production
From picture editing and immersive sound design, to color grading and finishing, we ensure every documentary reaches its full cinematic potential while staying true to its core message. Editing and sound design are done in-house, by an award-winning team. For colour grading and finishing, we partner with industry leaders to transform raw footage into polished films that engage with audiences.

The Wash: Britain's Secret Wilderness

“A microcosm of the global ecological picture and a metaphor of our times, this is a story of survival against all odds,
in a land time forgot but hasn’t stood still.”

A little-known dent in the vast fenlands on the east coast of England, the Wash is an undiscovered Eden. In its vastness,
the dance of tide and weather sculpts a dynamic living wonder of shifting sand and mud. It is one of the most important wetlands on Earth. In this persuasive, enthralling documentary, we shine a light on the trials-of-life in this unique wetland ecosystem, offering the viewer an in-depth look at its remarkable wildlife, enchanting habitats, and human interactions.
We showcase the global conservation and environmental challenges it faces, and reveal the vital conservation work
being done to protect this jewel in Britain’s natural world crown.
